Biography for Lizzie HollidayShowing a keen interest in music from an early age, Elizabeth began to play the flute at eight years old. Her interest in music blossomed and she later began to take vocal lessons. She discovered that she enjoyed performing and has taken part in many musical productions from local pantomime to operetta. Between 2006 and 2010 Elizabeth had vocal training with Ian Kennedy, celebrated tenor and Professor of Singing at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama. During this time she also took a master class with Michael Pilkington, vocal coach and authority on English song. In 2008 she won The Norman Tattersall Cup for Classical Voice at Colchester Institute and in 2009 graduated with a BA Honours in Music, majoring in vocal performance. Lizzie is currently training with Angela Bostock, who has performed numerous soprano roles including appearances at the Covent Garden Opera House. Lizzie teaches and performs regularly in the Essex area. She has played Carrie in "Carousel", Ado Annie in "Oklahoma", the Plaintiff in "Trial by Jury" and Patience in "Patience". She has also performed as a soloist in Vivaldi's "Gloria", Handel's "Messiah" and Geoffrey Bush's "Christmas Cantata".
