Lesson Frequency
Lessons can be booked to suit the pupil’s needs or requirements. This could be a regular hour-long lesson every one or two weeks or for younger pupils a 30 minute lesson once a week.
Styles and Levels
Lizzie teaches all levels from Preliminary to Grade 8. Beginners are welcome as well as more advanced pupils. She has a broad range of performance experience in Operetta, Music Theatre and Classical Music.
Lesson Content
Lessons are usually on a one-to-one basis but can be shared if necessary although progress can be slower. If parents wish to sit in on their children’s lessons, they are welcome to do so. Each of the courses will be tailored to the needs of the individual student. Students are encouraged to consider their own particular goals in order to achieve results as quickly as possible. Goals can be short-term, such as learning a specific song, or long-term, graded exams etc. Pupil oriented goals are an essential element to keeping motivation and to retain enjoyment.
Some pupils prefer to have a separate music theory lesson. However music theory is a part of every lesson.
Progress
Learning an instrument takes dedication but is very enjoyable. Your progress will depend on how hard you work at it. Parents of younger pupils are encouraged to actively participate in and promote practice with their child in order to maximise their potential and get the most out of their lessons.
I aim to make all of my students well rounded musicians, capable of achieving their own personal goals and enjoying their music. |
